This capstone brings together three defining parts of my professional journey:

my service as an elected school board member,

my work as a leadership practitioner, and

my doctoral research at Harvard.

It examines how newly elected school board members move from campaigning to governing in environments that are complex, consequential, and high stakes from day one.

The project traces the full arc of that journey, from the questions that inspired the research to the practical tools designed to answer them.
